These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Thora mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”), operated by Thora LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of New York, United States.

By accessing or using Thora, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. About Thora

Thora is a psychology-informed wellness application designed to help users reflect on eating behaviors, emotional patterns, and daily habits through educational content, self-tracking tools, guided exercises, and AI-powered supportive conversations.

Thora is intended for personal growth and self-reflection purposes only.

2. Eligibility & Age Requirements

• Thora is intended for users aged 13 years and older.

• Users under the age of 13 are not permitted to use the Services.

• By using Thora, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old.

• If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Services.

We do not knowingly allow use by children under 13. Accounts identified as belonging to users under 13 may be terminated and associated data deleted.

3. Important Disclaimer – Not Medical or Mental Health Care

Thora does not provide medical advice, mental health treatment, diagnosis, or therapy.

The Services:

• Are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or psychiatric care

• Do not provide crisis intervention or emergency services

• Do not guarantee specific outcomes or improvements

4. AI-Powered Features

Thora includes AI-generated features, including chat-based support and guidance.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI responses are automated and may be incomplete or inaccurate

• AI does not understand your full personal, medical, or psychological context

• AI outputs are for supportive and educational purposes only

• AI responses should not be relied upon as professional advice

You use AI features at your own discretion and risk.

 

5. Account Registration & Responsibility

Some features require creating an account.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and current information

• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials

• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

You are responsible for securing access to your device and account.

 

6. Subscriptions, Billing & Payments

Thora may offer free and paid subscription plans.

• Payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled through the platform

• Pricing, billing periods, and renewal terms are disclosed at purchase

• Refunds are subject to the policies of Apple or Google, not Thora LLC

 

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for unlawful, abusive, or harmful purposes

• Attempt to access or interfere with other users’ accounts or data

• Reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the app or AI systems

• Use Thora in a way that could cause harm to yourself or others

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

 

8. Content & Intellectual Property

All content, features, designs, text, graphics, videos, software, trademarks, and materials available through Thora are owned by or licensed to Thora LLC.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

 

9. User-Provided Content

You retain ownership of content you voluntarily submit (e.g., reflections, messages, check-ins).

By using Thora, you grant Thora LLC a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process such content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Services.

 

10. No Guarantees

Thora does not guarantee:

• Any specific results

• Changes in behavior, health, or wellbeing

• Accuracy or completeness of insights or AI responses

Individual outcomes vary.

 

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability.

 

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Thora LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Services.

Your use of Thora is at your own risk.

 

13. Termination

You may stop using Thora at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services at our discretion if these Terms are violated or if required by law.

 

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted at this link with an updated effective date.

Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance.

 

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
